Trench & Coat, one of the last French workshop brands
Internalized production in Europe

Imagining, designing and manufacturing coats, trench coats and jackets is not done in the blink of an eye, as you can imagine. It is a long process that requires a lot of investment, but above all, it calls on the best know-how and the best experts. These essential conditions are met in our two workshops. The first is that of our parent company, in France. HQ of our creations, it is here that the models of tomorrow and small productions are developed. Our second Ukrainian workshop brings to life the wonders imagined in France. There, the seamstresses with magic fingers ensure the production of the coats and jackets that you will wear next season. As you will have understood, all our Trench & Coat pieces come from our own workshops. This means that we control our production by training our own employees and that is extremely rare in the textile industry where the majority of fashion brands work with external manufacturers. We are therefore not a little proud to be able to loudly proclaim that "Trench & Coat is one of the last French workshop brands", in fact a brand which has its own production workshop.

French know-how for 70 years

From the Lener Cordier family house, based in the North of France in Hazebrouck, creator and manufacturer of "sleeved pieces" since 1954, Trench & Coat relies on 70 years of unique French know-how. Our coats are recognized for their quality and are made to last over time. There are 82 jobs at the headquarters in Hazebrouck in the North of France: from sourcing to distribution to styling, more than 20 expert professions succeed one another to make the most beautiful collections. We like to say that "Trench & Coat is a resistant brand of French know-how" by preserving French know-how in the textile industry. Our materials are sourced from historical partners, particularly in Prato in Italy, renowned for being the European capital of materials and particularly woolens. For example, for the fall-winter 2024 collection, 100% of our woolen sheets are sourced in Italy.

Excellent value for money

Most fashion brands today do not have their own production workshops because to put it simply, it is expensive and it is often synonymous with a lot of hassle to manage production. Ok but then why is it cool to be a workshop brand? At Trench & Coat, we are indeed proud to proclaim loud and clear that we are one of the last French workshop brands (with other resistant friendly brands of French know-how anyway!) because this presents 2 strong advantages:

-better control of its quality by directly training its own teams

-but above all by having a better quality-price ratio by reducing intermediaries.

Indeed, thanks to our internalized production in our own workshops in France or Ukraine, we reduce the number of intermediaries, thus making quality coats more financially accessible.

<3 on Ukraine

As you can see, our employees are French and Ukrainian, so it has been particularly important to us to help the Ukrainian populations since the beginning of the conflict. For example, our interventions:

- we organized humanitarian convoys: 5 trucks and 60 tons of donations sent to the affected cities

- welcomed Ukrainian employees within our teams in France

- supported the Ukrainian economy: maintaining business relations and supporting reconstruction.

In recognition of our efforts, we received: the Saint Vladimir medal (symbol of Ukrainian resistance against aggression) and three awards for dedicated assistance (rewarding the commitment of our employees)
